Christina Leary is the founder and Artistic Director of Pointe 2 Perfection Dance Studio, LLC. Miss Christina began her dancing career at an early age and it was not long before she realized that she wanted to share her passion for dance with others. Miss Christina has trained in all styles of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern. She grew up dancing competitively and attending master classes regularly. In 1997, Miss Christina was crowned, "Miss Dance" by Kids Artistic Revue productions, a nationally recognized dance competition. Wanting to be able to provide her students with more than just a studio based learning experience; Miss Christina went to the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and graduated with a degree in Dance Education in 2002. Miss Christina is ONE OF THE FIRST to be certified by the State Department of Education as a Dance Teacher in Connecticut's Public Schools! She began her teaching career with, Rhythm-N-Sync Dance Studio, at the age of 16, and taught at Valley Ballet for 7 years. At both dance studios Miss Christina taught recreational and competitive classes.
Her students have won numerous awards and continue to be recognized by the judges. Most recently her dancers have won Top First in every age category competed in, the Sweetheart Award, and Best Choreography award as well as receiving invitations to exclusive dance teams. She has also choreographed for musicals such as the Pajama Game, Seussical, High School Musical, The Addams Family, Aladdin, & Cinderella (which won the Halo Award for best musical in 2016) . Miss Christina worked as the dance teacher for Conard High School for 3 years. Miss Christina is currently the choreographer for Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury, CT. She is also the founder of Chase Collegiate Dance Company. Miss Christina is proud to be able to offer her expertise in dance to you!
